Despite the less-than-perfect Glasgow weather, progress has continued at the Airport Car Park site and our total spend on the project has now reached £714,971.97! After the strong winds which prevented a lot of the work in Week 9 subsided, the full workforce was able to get back on track and catch up on all the hard graft.
In the past week, the main priorities have been to continue with the trenching and backfilling throughout the site. The lighting column bases are completed, as the last of the 15 tonnes of concrete was poured this week. The drainage repair works and earthworks have also been completed.

Over the course of the next week, the light fittings will be attached to each column before the CCTV cameras are then added. All boundary areas of the site have now been preened, and this will allow the security fencing to be installed once their construction is completed.
The final ground investigation report has been received by Aston Darby, and this means we are now in a position to start building the new site offices at the start of next week, which means there should be plenty of movement in the days to come! Scottish Power have also continued their works to supply the site with mains power, meaning that each building will be equipped once fully built.
